Decor Gypsum Board 4ftx8ftx9mm
- Lightweight and strong: The gypsum board is relatively light compared to the alternative materials. This makes it easy to work with especially when doing high ceilings in buildings.
- Sound control: the board is sound proof so preferably used in portioning of spaces to create more privacy.
- Versatility: Uses of gypsum board in construction is suitable for ceilings and partitions. It is adaptable for use in every type of construction-commercial, institutional, and residential
- Rigid and flat: The gypsum board is rigid and flat meaning it does not lose shape when it has been used/fixed. It retains its shape and design for many years thus making it more economical to use in construction.
- Beautiful finish and great effect:?Constructing a ceiling using gypsum boards offers beauty and aesthetics
- Fire resistance: Gypsum board will not support combustion, when fire occurs, crystallized water in gypsum is released and turns into steam to help combat flames and heat. Partitioning wall by gypsum board can resist fire to burn up to a maximum of 4 HOURS thus minimizing casualties
Fiber Cement Board 9mm Water Resistant
High impact strength, lasting durability, and easy installation of fiber cement board.
Fiber cement cladding is a very heavy product and requires two people to carry the uncut sheets. Thin fiber cement cladding is fragile before installation and must be handled carefully because it is prone to chipping and breakage if improperly handled. Once the product is cut it may again require two people to install ? one to hold the sheet flush against stud work and the other to nail the product in place.
Cutting fiber cement sheeting:
Sheeting can be cut to size in three ways.- Thinner sheets can be scored with a heavy-duty cutting blade and snapped
- Using a hand- or electric-powered ?fibro cutter? (Australian term)
- A mechanical saw using a diamond blade (masonry blade) is needed to cut thicker and denser sheets
Gyproc Fire Resistant Gypsum Board 12.5mm
Gyproc? Firestop Board is a gypsum-based Interior Wall & Ceiling product used in areas where High Fire Resistance Performance is required to restrict fire from passing from one side of the wall to the other side.
Gyproc? Firestop Board?s gypsum core incorporates glass fibers & other fire-resistive additives that are encased & firmly bonded to strong pink-colored paper liners
Gypsum Ceiling Supplies Fire resistant Gypsum Boards in Kenya: Gypsum is approximately 21 percent by weight chemically combined water which greatly contributes to its effectiveness as a fire resistive barrier. When gypsum drywall is exposed to fire, the water is slowly released as steam, effectively retarding heat transmission.
Fire-rated gypsum drywall is more fire resistant because it contains glass fiber reinforcement and other additives within its specially formulated gypsum core to help it hold up longer to fire exposure.
Fire-resistant gypsum board is referred to as ?Type X? and must be third-party certified by an independent testing and listing agency to meet the fire performance requirements prescribed in the Standard Specification for Gypsum Board.
Types of Fire-Resistant Gypsum Boards
Type X fire-rated gypsum drywall that is 5/8 --inch (15.9mm) thick and installed on each side of nominal 2-inch x 4-inch (38x89mm) wood studs spaced 16-inch (400mm) o.c. or 3-5/8 inch (610 mm) steel studs spaced 24? o.c. has a minimum fire rating for the assembly of 1 hour, which is a typical requirement for many building codes.
Type C fire-resistant gypsum board (sometimes referred to as Improved Type X) is similar in composition to Type X, except that it has more glass fiber reinforcement and other ingredients in the gypsum core that make its fire-resistive properties superior to Type X. It is available in 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) thicknesses.
Fire-rated Type X Shaftliner is 1? (25.4 mm) thick and used in special Shaft wall and Area Separation Firewall assemblies.
Local and Government building codes require the installation of fire-rated boards in areas such as furnaces and utility room walls for residential applications. Fire-rated drywall can also be installed in a basement or places where wood stoves might be used. This enhanced gypsum board is typically found on attached garage walls and ceilings that are adjacent to the main living area of the home.
For commercial buildings, fire-rated gypsum drywall is specified for most of the building walls and ceilings to meet building code requirements for fire partitions and assemblies. These fire-rated partitions and assemblies provide life safety for the building occupants.
Gyproc Gypsum Filler 25kg Multipurpose Plaster
Gyproc filler is a gypsum-based setting material for bulk and secondary filling of plasterboard joints. A low shrinkage product for hand application, with 60 minutes working time. It can be used in stages 1 and 2 of the traditional 3-stage jointing process.
Gyproc filler produces a smooth, continuous, crack-resistant lining surface ready for priming and final decoration. Several jointing specifications are available to suit the board type, site preference, and method of application. When taping and jointing, Gyproc Joint Filler is suitable for the application of the taping coat only. It sets to a hard finish and is ideal for use on plasterboard joints under Gyproc Finish Plasters
Joint filling is an important process in many structures such as Buildings, Masonry Walls. A joint filler for use in joints between structural elements comprising at least one layer of a substantially non-compressible, moisture blocking material; at least two layers of a compressible and resilient, moisture-blocking material, each layer being in surface to surface contact with a layer of non-compressible material. The layers of material are combined to form a strip of interleaved compressible and non-compressible layers, and in an uncompressed state thicker than a joint
Gyproc Moisture Resistant Gypsum Board 9mm
Gyproc Moisture resistance is a plasterboard with moisture-resistant additives in the core and special green lining paper for easy recognition.
Enhanced plasterboard with water-repellent additives in the core. Recommended for use in intermittent moisture applications where additional performance is required such as in kitchen and bathroom walls and ceiling installations. It is also suitable for use in external soffits that are in sheltered positions
